Considering that Nintendo makes very durable products, it isn't a surprise that compared to it, the PSP looks like an antique. Shoot, you could hurl a Gameboy at 40 mph and it would still work. It'd be scratched up, and you might have to reattatch some of the parts, but it's still play like the day you bought it.
Not to say that the PSP won't be durable, but like I said, Nintendo specilizes in durability.

Yeah Thnikk USA stores are putting up $50 for psp games. But sony hasnt actually announced prices for games. So they are just guessing.
Over in the UK tho we always pay through our nose for portable games. AFAIK since the DS isnt out yet. GBA games are about 2-30 quid for the good ones. $40-$60

You also have to think about brand new releases.
They are out at around £35 - £40 sometimes, if they are really good games that is.

No GBA game has ever mean more than £35. At least not amazon.
If PSP games are going to be about $50, thats about £30, so thats the same as a GBA game. I guess thats ok. Still scary stuff for someone who only gets £5-£10 every week for gardening, £10 if im lucky.

I won't. For $250 US, I don't want all those hassles.

It appears to be mostly an issue of money. Which is the dominant one for me. As such, I most likely won't get one. To spend $300 just for the system, the random crap they throw in the package, and a game or two seems ludicrous.

Hector Martinez is an idiot. He writes some stuff in the "10 things you should know about the PSP", then shoots down everything he wrote in that article in "What the PSP will suck." Taxi for Mr. Martinez.

It looks like sony have rushed the PSP to get the most money out of it.
Screw them, the world needs more companies like blizzard and team 17

Take that back. Team17 produce mainly low rate games, and struggle to make money. Companies like sony are the ones making consoles, however bad you think they may be, because they have the skills and resources to do it, Team 17 don't, and never will.

You never know, Worms Mayhem could go over unnaturally big, and they've also got the DS and PSP games coming down the pipe (which would definately go over big). They may actually break out of the endless bankrupcy loop, which I for one would be happy to see.
As for the PSP article, he makes some good points, but if you pay attention, both articles are major flame-baiters. Especially if you looked at the thread comments for each of them (yes, I bothered to read all the comments for both).

I didnt mean it like that. From my experience T17 have offered a very goof uncomplainable servoce. Sony, dosnt give a shit about what people want unless it gets them more money.
