I just got Unreal Tournament 2004 thru amazon at the beginning of January and i am lovin it? I am beginning to venture to the online side of things and, do anyone here play this game so we can meybe have a game or 2?

Also if you have anything interesting to say about the game, feel free to post

Maybe what would be an idea would be to groups a few guys together and go onto one game for an Onslaught match or something like that.

I love the game extremely, in fact I love it so much I've already created 3 maps for it, I am working on one and never got around to finishing another one I started. I also made some different weapons. Like the Concussion Rifle (Powered Shock Rifle part of the 3dbuzz.com tutorial), the Power Rifle (Even more powerful version of Concussion Rifle), and the UberGooper which fires out more globs usual then the Bio-Rifle. But these are weapons anyone can compile, very easy. As for maps, there it can get very complicated. You have no clue how many mods are out there man, RPG, Automatic Snipers (Zark), oh you name it man. I've been on server that had custom weapons, 100% custom, that can take so many days to make and compile.

What the hell? No you don't. If you have the map in your folders and stuff it shouldn't download the same map. And if you didn't have the map in ur map folder or whatever, then yes you will download a map u don't have, but once it finishes and it's in your cache, then after that you shouldn't download it again. But yes, get a cache extractor. Sometimes people may make new versions of maps w/o renaming them or something like that, then you would re-download that map. As for downloading a hell load of mods from a server you think you'd like. Get over it, if you a got a nice working fast connection them you really have nothing to worry about. I think mods are the greatest thing known to ut, they make the game interesting. And as for not having the game, all you gotta do is find urself 6 ISO's of all the 6 discs and 6 blank CD's. I heard there was a version of ut2k4 where you only needed 1 CD, so that would be 1 ISO and 1 blank disc. Oh, and if you don't mods there's a server filter but I think you guys know that.
