I'm no good with this sort of thing, so I'm hosting a contest for you lot to do it for me!

as you may know, I'm starting up a web comic that I've named Sprited Apathy. well, I'm currently coding the site for it, and I need a banner for the top of the site. I want something professional looking, so I can have a professional looking site.....before you scroll down and realize how horrilby put-together the rest of the site is.

anyway, I just need something good-looking to go across the top of my page. if I want something wider than what you provide, then I'll simply edit it myself. as for the height, I'd prefer it to be no larger than 120 pixels (for the test page, I just set the sig I have right now at the top, and the size fits about right, so I'm happy with something that big, but too much bigger would just be absurd).

the submission can also contain a logo for the site on it if it makes it look better. I currently have no logo of any kind, so if you make one with your submission, I'll use it. (if you're wondering what I mean by logo, I get the feeling you should be shot in the face). if you wish to ONLY submit a logo, you may, but you won't get the money, you'll just get a mention in the credits.

winner will receive 200 in BTP money, and a spot on the credits page.

anything will work. only image for the comic so far is the one I've posted in "spreading the joy" and the site is currently just a red bar on the left and a white main page, but nothing's permenant in any way shape or form, which is why I just asked for this without any specific instructions.

as I said, I don't really have any requirements for this, any scheme the winner uses will be fine, and I'll just model the colors of the site after that. I have a logo now, btw, but it's just white, so it'll fit in no matter what the colors of the rest of the site are.

That could be very easilybe made to fit to about 760px wide and fade out to black at the edges, how the hell did you get it up to 1.2 meg??
