I've just followed the pixelmappack thread and it doesn't make a great deal of sense to me.

What is a pixel map? Aimed for ant particular game or ?

It's called the PixelMapPack because all the maps are made by visitors to this site. It can be any map you like (in a .bit file) as long as it says www.blamethepixel.com on it. So the idea of the PixelMapPack is to promote BlameThePixel and encourage creativity amongst visitors to the site

If you wanted to you could make colour maps for BlameThePixel but they wouldn't really fit into the PixelMapPack

Lol indeed it is, no shortage of pixels in that one Probably won't be too long before the (first) PixelMapPack is released, maybe another month or something.

Check out the map I did today for your Jet Pack Shoppa scheme. I think you maybe need more turn time or need to be better with jet packs than I am

Well maybe you don't quite understand...

If you want to make a map for the PixelMapPack then you submit it to me, not to the blamethepixel website.

So if you make lots of maps and mindlessly add 'www.blamethepixel.com' to them... you've kinda missed the point. The idea is that you decide you want to make a map for the PixelMapPack and then you make it Just send in any of your maps to me when you want them to be PixelMapPack maps.

The idea was thought up long ago when the only regular visitors to the site were me ben and bloopy. heheh. It would also be good if you could make them pixel related but it's not essential.

I have no problem in plugging your site on any of my amateur maps.

What I don't understand is why my useless maps need to be submitted somewhere else other than the useless map section?

They don't need to be, just put your useless maps in the useless map section. BUT if you wanna make a 'special' map for the PixelMapPack then you send the special maps to me.

I prefer that you don't submit to both... but if you want to, it's ok since a few other people have done so anyway. But I'd rather that when people got the map pack, they find new maps that they haven't seen on blamethepixel before

there's no deadline, the fact that you tell me you are working on a map means that I will wait for you The whole thng will likely be released when I have 25 maps, that won't be tooo far away.

Personally the new one I'm making I think you will.... but surely you'll let me know if it's not in the pixel pack so I can upload it here (I have only uploaded my 4 useless maps here btw )

The one you are making, of course I will accept, hopefully it says 'www.blamethepixel.com' on it. Then I'll prob thank ya for making it, and it will certainly be in the map pack, and when the map pack is released, there's your map!
