Was it extra extra wide? I've used Final Cut Pro whilst on work experience too. Was quite fun to work with, but I'd have to choose PC in the vote as I can't live without my online gaming...

Visually, I would go for Mac, since the OS icons and Object Dock thing is quite sexy.
