I remember when Tony Hawks was just skating doing missions in the space of 2 mins. Those were the best.
But now look at it, free roam, jump off the baord and walk around, high jack cars.
Whats the next gonna be like? People walking around with guns? It'll be GTA but on skatebaords

Heh, that sounds pretty cool actually.
Wouldn't really be Tony Hawk anymore though.

But in THUG2 you can still do the missions in the space of 2 mins, and you can play like that all the time if you want. Most of the online games people play on it now are still like that. THUG2 is great!

Then again, riding a skateboard, and running into a moving vehicle would probably kill you in real life. In the Tony Hawk games, the worst thing that could happen is the car knocking you down. That seems awfully cartoony to me .

Thats what i don't really like about THPS. It's not that realistic, like pulling out loads of tricks on a ramp that are impossible in real life.

| Avast, 'tis a fine day to be sure.
i got THPS4 and THUG which are both pretty good. they are very entertaining games, but they got pretty hard after a while. I occasionally go back to them for a quick run.

THPS4 was the best game imo. 190 hard goals and no difficulty level. I got all gaps completed, alll cash icons collected and every goal completed. No cheats This one, you could learn how to play as you were playing, not like the old ones where you have to learn all the controls on your own.
THUG was awsome. It was like James Bond on a skateboard. Without the gun. The plot was pretty nice too. The cut scenes made the whole thing intresting.
THUG2 was a degrade for the series. They added so many uneeded junk, such as the sticker slap, which is the same as the wall plant. Graffiti tag wasn't needed either. Who really needs to mark things? There were lots of bad reviews too for this game. I got this for the PC and it's $20 cheaper than the consol version. Plus you can upload your face right from the PC. The story for this game was shit. If you could choose which team you were on, then it woul really be intresting (I wanted to be on Bam's team). Bringing back the classic mode with harder goals was a great idea, especially with the difficulty levels, but I think they should keep with one difficulty level so they can add more stuff to the games story mode or classic mode. Newbie's wouldn't have a hard time if they do the training level on story mode. I remember the old THPS's didn't have any training. My current goals for this game is to complete Sick mode for Classic and Story mode and get all gaps. I'll be winner . So far I have all the gaps in story mode and completed all goals for Easy and Normal mode. Classic Normal mode was a bit harder for me. I haven't completed many of the goals yet.
Create-A-Skater for all of them were missing some of the most important accessories (the chain).

Putting your face in the game was one of the crappier features of THUG2, but perhaps you just have to get a really good photo with even lighting to be able to match the skin at all. Though I think the normal face features look better in the game than a photo ever could.

What? I wouldn't wanna use myself in the game, I'd buy it to play as other people. Not myself.

Well, since the topic has shifted to Custom Skaters, how about we post about what ours is? I'd post a picture, but I don't have digital camera or the game for PC. It's not hard to conjure up in your mind anyway.
Picture Eddie from SSX Tricky with cargo pants and a hooded sweatshirt and you're most of the way there.

My photo was fine, it even put my hairstyle into the game! My hairstyle hasn't been in any of the games. The cut scenes though screw up my hair. I have no hair at the sid of my head. Otherwise, my hairstyle is correct. What I hated is that it doesn't show the redness of my eyes, but I don't do that anymore. such a pain.
