Kinda pointless eh? Creating a universe, then destroying it..
God is everything... space, time, matter, underwear, blood

I don't really like these threads...people have the right to believe whatever they wish to believe. We shouldn't try to be proving to each other why or why not god exists.

For your information, i'm an athiest.

Well, as you all probably know by now, I do believe in God. I'm going to try not to get involved in this thread (self control don't fail me now). But if I do, expect a 90% chance of long spoilers and a possibility of being slapped upside the head with the Bible.

But I don't want to just say god isn't real, I need proof.

Isn't religion about belief? It's not who can do what, or what's to be seen.

*First look at thread*

I think that a God of some sort does exist. The beginnings of the universe depended on very specific measurements which surely all can't have been coincidence. If just one of these values (i.e gravity strength) was in any different then the Universe would be unstable and life made impossible to form.

Btw the book series kicked off by "The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy" has quite a good philosophy in my opinion, if not comical. The Meaning Of Life Is 42!

Is there or isn't there?

maybe there is, maybe there ain't. Ive seen some pretty weird stuff. Then again iv'e seen poor people die on the street. Ive seen a guy survive a gun shot wound to the head. (he lived.. he wasn't right afterward, but he lived none the less). I've seen a guy wreck his motor cycle and slam into the corner of a building, cutting him in half.

Ive also seen people beat cancer. Does "god" play a role in any of this? Or is it just dumb luck? Is there a "greater plan" are we pupputs on this earth? Or do we truely have the power to shape our own lives as we see fit? Can we become that which we choose for our selves?

Personaly, I do not have any faithfull beliefs. I believe that i am here, and that if im luckey I will live to see tomarow. I take each day one at a time. Hoping to keep the bills paid and food on the table.

I chose to believe that I control my destiney, and that no one can live my life for me. I take each day, and make what i can of it. In hopes that i can make tomorow brighter for me and my wife.

Perhaps the universe took many tries to be created? A lot of them failed and those measurements were finally correct. Somewhat like a lottery..
However I'm being the devil's avracate there,
I somewhat believe this theory you have here though. It seems logical.

I think that's why the runescape forum doesn't allow religion discussion anymore.

And I don't give an opinion. I'm afraid to be rated down again! (Some people get angered by messing with their religion, really)

No no C1, I'm sure you meant avocado.

Edit: Sorry, you mean apricot. Devil's apricot, that's the one.

My belief is: it doesn't matter.

Religion is a waste of time, whether or not a god exists.
Macroevolution is also a faith, not a fact. A strong belief in it that causes you to ignore everybody else is also not healthy.

If there is a god, a perfect omnipotent being, and we all go sing worship songs, what difference does it make to him?

What's more important: unprovable faith, or actually being a nice person?

exactly my view hardnut. if there's a god, and the holy books every religion has are even remotely true, then it'd be more important to be a good person than it would be to hate everyone, but to go to church every week. we can sing and pray all we want, but unless you're a good person, it wouldn't matter. besides, if god'a perfect, then he wouldn't NEED worshipers, cause if he did, he'd be arrogant and self-righteous, and those are imperfect qualities.
