This mouse sounds pretty good, but from what I can see, it might be slightly annoying that you are forced to use this specific mouse mat.
I've got to try it for myself before I really know what it's like though.

My friend had this mouse for his Mac.
It sucked. The mouse lagged and the mouse would always not respond. It kept making me loose half my time on worms.
It might not have been the mouse however because he said
" it could have been because there were too mouses plugged in and during some games the computer gets confused which mouse to use. "

Perhaps the technology of the connection from mouse to pad needs some improvement. Or perhaps something like that is always going to lag like a normal cordless mouse.

I thought the whole point of a wireless mouse was so you wouldnt have wires all over your desk, but if this mouse mat thing is plugged in theres wires again.
Ive got a wireless mouse and keyboard which both need batterys but the batterys last ages, I havnt even changed them once yet.

Exactly, there's not much point except for making the mouse easier to move and use.

Don't you find them to be a bit unresponsive on Worms? I've heard roping with a wireless keyboard is frustrating, if not impossible.

I also got a new keyboard today aswell, it's a cordless one but this needs batteries
It's about the same size as a laptop keyboard but it does the job nicely. Saves alot of desktop space

From my limited electronics knowledge, i think it would be done with magnets, because the moving the two would create an induced electro-motive force, which is amplified, powering the wirelessness. Probably not though, that seems too simple
the site says it's powered by electromagnetic induction, i think this is roughly the idea, only i reckon the pad will be a large flat electromagnet that and the mouse has a similar setup in order to create a transformer effect between them

you overestimate the size of the electromagnetic force involved, it would only require a very small field that could then be amplified by way of a step up transformer ratio from the pad to the mouse

Well, I can safely say, I've had no problems so far with it. It's brill for FPS cause it slides across the board nicely.
