I use mostly MS-Paint. When working with colours, I use The GIMP. It's free, but quite efficient.

I used Neopaint for windows, as I think it's simple yet still affective.

paint? noepaint? come one guys. Atomic was right, GIMP and paint shop pro are the best

I use the GIMP for sprays on DoD:S and CS:S, Photoshop for maps for W:A, which i don'#t anymore because they sucked big time

I used to use Paint for maps..I don't know why though. That was before I had decent programs like fireworks/photoshop. Making rope races in fireworks really is a piece of piss. Set a grid, line tool set to white, make sure AA is off and make random lines!

If I'd want a colour version, I'd plonk it in photoshop and overlay some random mix of filters and stuff on the lines.

i have Photoshop, PSP, The GIMP (on linux box), and i think i Like Photoshop the best. Though any will work, if your comfortable with the program.

EDIT: That reminds me - I just got a copy of Paint Shop Pro, I'm looking forward to installing it and seeing what it can do.
