I guess the way you could fix that bug, is to make the system a little more fast, just enough so that you cant press F1, and space so fast that it would ignore the fact that there was no position seleted. And as a double whammy fix, you could make it so the game checks twice to see if the pigeon/missle/whatever had a spot seleted for its destination.
