In this RPG we will be replaying The Lord of The Rings, RPG style.

I have tried this out in other RPG forums and it has gone down pretty well in the past, so, let me explain:

You will be able to choose your own character or have one of the characters in the original Lord of The Rings who were in the fellowship. From there I will be like a dungeon master controling the enemies and moving the game forward. You will be able to do anything except kill of other characters UNLESS you have their permition first. We will be playing by the movie's standards from the start of the fellowship since I cannot remember the book. You dont have to know The Lord of The Rings to play this, infact it might be better if you dont!

This is an interest check. If enough people want to do this then I will post a sign ups thread for the characters and if all goes well the game.

So, anyone interested? Ask any questions you need to.

yeah im interested but i dont think we should play it exacly the same as the film.
you say we start at the start of the film. But really you can only be Froddo, sam, merry, pipin or gandalf (bagsee me)
this would mean people who wanted to be say Gollum would not be able to join in for ages

Sure, go for it, I havn't seen LotR anyways. And, maybe it'll generate that interest we seem to be lacking in this forum.

Nope, havn't seen it and havn't read it. I will have to read them by the end of the year for English class though...

I don't see why there so great, personaly I don't even like them... and the rpg doesn't sound special but we need something for around here.

i read them all first before watching the film.
Books are always better than the films.

You can only be a character in the fellowship to avoid people having to wait.

We are not RECREATING the movie, just following its storyline vaguely. Ive actually had alter the story in once or twice in other forums because people were following the story too well.

You can make up your own character.

I need a minimum of 5 people to play with.

nono. lol sorry but no. Else you'd be waiting for a long time to be in the RPG. Have read any of these posts apart from the first by any chance?
