"Assault Course" for Three* Pairs of Worms

I have created a new game, based on the Battle Race (br). The map is comprised of three identical layers, each for exactly two worms. For a pair of worms to win, they must both get from the START to the FINISH in fewer turns than the other pairs. The idea is that each worm must help its partner along at certain places, and vice-versa; it is impossible for one worm to complete the course alone. The inventory is as follows: inf Fire Punch (fp), inf Dragon Ball (db), and inf Uzi. A turn lasts for 20 secs plus hot-seat time and optional retreat-time.

*It's quite possible for two pairs of worms too.

Does this sound good? Would you play it? :-)

i like it, but i dont see how you would need to have two worms to get past certain obstacles, i can see how one worm could maybe punch the other one over an obstacle, but how to follow it?

The gaps that require fp/db are parts of a larger system, as opposed to one-off gaps. If my map proves to be successful, then it will be uploaded (along with the scheme) so you can see it for yourself :-)

Only one weapon (armageddon) and you play on a pixel map (kill those buggers! kill them all!)

make a delay of one turn for the armageddon though, because if there's a winner after only one shot, it will be a draw anyway (it will take a while longer to end a game in this case)

has nobody else noticed the obvious problem? when u hav got ur one worm over the 1st obstacle that needs two worms, how do u get the helper worm over the obsiacle to help at the next one?

I got to try the Assault Course and I liked it a lot! In fact I liked it so much that I'm 3/4 of the way through making my own AC too, and I will be putting a page on my website especially for ACs. The only difference is that I will put a different scheme for each map. Because my first AC will only use two weapons: dragonball and shotgun. Some of the ACs I make may not even use any weapons... we'll see

As for one worm following another... think of this example: On its own a worm can't jump an 80 pixel gap, but if it jumps from the other worm's head then it can make it. And if the 1st worm that jumped stands on the very edge then it can catch the 2nd worm that jumps from the other side. Also think of worms firepunching from behind a thin wall or from under a thin floor... very cool!

I might consider playing it once it's out. If I like I might make a few maps.
