Zogger i have 3 files that are extremely big for the topcities server and i want them (ooo look zogger has new menu items)them to be on my site...if u agree in this forum that i can send them to u then i can put them on my site...
o and send that file u sent me in zip i cant download things unless they are...

hmm well how big are they? we're getting closer and closer to our bandwidth limit all the time...

Calendar is the new menu item. And the files are...40MB each. And u have a bandwith? really wow...o and does anyone know if on a non payed account of topcities if u can have php?

eep, 40Mb? I'm not sure I can really add those, for one thing they're huge and it would take me ages just to upload them, and yes, pretty much every hosting plan you can get has a bandwidth limit. BTP's is 5GB a month, which is at most 5120/30 = 170.67MB a day. According to the statistics page, we used 145.95MB, but I think that page is a little below the bandwidth counting thing that is actually used for the limit. The amout used per day is going up and up, that 145MB is, I think, a record. In February the highest figure we got was a mere 35MB per day. I think the increase is partially attributed to the increase in use of sigimg.php as opposed to sig.php, cause that uses more bandwidth, but the amount more used is thus far fairly small.

I'm thinking about changing hosting to a diff company tho. I've seen places offering 30GB per month and a fair amount more space for about $80. That would also mean a possibility of hosting for other sites being more readily available on BTP.

I am also interested in hosting and was about to make a new post asking if you hosted sites until i read this... If you ever get a new host please contact me, i would love a subdomain here. I don't know what i can offer back to you though.. I could create phpbb buttons and/or make another design to add on to the many you already have. I can offer activity to your forums. I have clan who needs forum hosting...(note : it is not for worms but for Unreal tournament )

Yeh, the host has already changed over, on the 15th of last month, we'll probably be staying on this one, depending on whether or not the db goes down again. We'll see.

Unfortunately there's a one off $10 charge for each subdomain... Still, if you're interested in something other than a subdomain (eg http://www.blamethepixel.com/bla), I can probably provide it. If you need a db this host keeps getting max connections errors (grr), so it might not be the best place... heh. Hasn't happened in a few days tho, maybe it'll stabilise or something...
