Do not get put off by the size of this please. I need your help.

I have decided to make my own site. Though this shall be different from all the 5 minute makes which are made using tripod or geocities etc... I am using Macromedia Fireworks MX.**Gasp** Anyway, I have made a few of the pages but there are 3 problems which are causing some dillemas.

1.Since I am making it with fireworks, it doesnt have any URL yet, I will use some free do it urself HTML thing but how will the menu links work if i have no idea on what to put in the the URL bit.

2.Downloads. How? if i wanted people to be able to download schemes and maps how will I do it. Is there a way of doing it without going into the code part of it. Like a simple download button which I add and choose a file for it to let people download?

3. Lastly, will copying the html 'stuff' and then pasting it into the html do-it-urself page work?

Any help at all would be much appreciated.

for the URLs just use relative URLs, ie: apage.htm and then put the pages in the same directory.

for downloads you can just do the same thing, shove the files in the same folder a make a regular link to them.

and thirdly, yes

ok, so i copy the html code into the tripod freeform thing, but when i preview the page it just has boxes with ared crosses in the top left corner, bascially it sows no pictures. Where do i place the slices/pictures so the page has access to them?

i depends on the src specified in the img tag:

for <img src="pic.jpg"> then you put the picture (pic.jpg) in the same folder

for <img src="images/pic.jpg"> then you put the picture in the images/ folder relative to which ever file you are trying to put the picture in.
