Heh, you may be seeing a fair few stars, It's just that the new post marker system has been changed cause it wasn't really working right before. Now individual threads have their own read status, and when you go to the last page of the thread it is automatically marked as read.
At the mo threads are being marked as read automatically 24 hours after they're posted, but I can change this, or make it user-customizable if you want.

The stars that are they're now should go away by tomorrow, or you could just click on them.

Thanks go to my brother who helped to make the MySQL query to find new posts, it was damn tricky, but well, he says most of his job is writing SQL queries.
