The auction will eventually even out money more or less... so not really any point to reset it...

But a new system for getting money would be good...

Also, i don't think that the automatic money transfer when you win an auction is good. For example, if i win a picture of a chocolate pie in an auction, the money i've bid gets transfered to the auction's author, while i don't get any pie transfered to me:)

It'd be better if there was some system that "exchanges" the item with the winner's money automatically, but i have no idea how would it work when the item for sell on the auction is a users soul, for example....

I can see people getting negative money.

Say Person X has £500 and he bets £300 on both Auction A and Auction B. He can do that because he hasn't won them yet and can afford the bid. Say he wins both of the auctions, he would go into negative money because the money is automatically taken. I can see it being a slight problem, which probably wouldn't occur often, but then again, I think it should happen because it's their fault for betting a total more than they can afford.

it can't occur, I did the code for that. You can't bid more than you actually have (and that takes account of your other bids), and if you have spent your money somewhere else and can't afford it, it goes to the next highest bidder, and the next highest and so on until it finds someone who can pay - or not, as the case may be.

[although there might still be bugs]

If you want exchanges don't use the auction. And it would just show the record of the things you won in you chest. That way, you would be able, to reauction items, or throw away items.

Like if someone bids on an item and then they change their torso leaving them with 200 less money than what they had when they BIDDED on a auction.

:)

But what if it goes to the "3rd person" who decided he did not want the item anymore but still gets charged for it becuase of other poeples actions...?

with the chest's options, it the image would have been transfered to your chest, and the item form Wish's desk would have an entry as well. this way you would have two entries with name description, pic when there is one, and "properties" if the item has some, like Star Worm's soul, which must have some.

This way we (or well, admins) could create some btp artifacts that could be won at lottery or bought in a special page. Users could make some and put the into auctions. Some objects oculd have real properties, like free custom torso for a week, +1 rating while having item in chest... others fictive ones (bringing luck, intelligence, l337ness...). To make real properties for an object, money should be invovled, for sure. And maybe... skill (new parameter ?).
It's just like artifacts in role playing games.
Our profiles have hits, ratings, and many parameters that are like RPG characters... and adding this to the rusk thing could be a start...

Then the auction gets closed, as if no1 bidded on it.
