Yeah, anyone aged 5 or over can legally drink alcohol in their house (well obviously not their house...).

It's also legal to smoke at any age. It's illegal to buy cigarettes but you may smoke them. Also the police have a right to confiscate them. How stupid is that.

I don't think that law is true... giving a child alcohol in his still devolping years, is just as bad as fetal alcohol syndrom....

Of course it is bad to give young children alcohol, it can affect their developpement, in any country. Better blame the parents, not France.

Well, im 13 and all my life ive had access to alchol, its always been in the kitchin, cuboards tables, and places like that, but for some reason ive never botherd to even get some out and try a bit, but if someone asked me to have a smoke of some weed, i feel i would jump at the chance...i dont know why, its just the way i feel about it.

I'm 13, and I am allowed alcohol (although my mum doesn't recomend it) and it seems to be no problem.

yep, in the UK you may legally consume alchohol in your own home over the age of 5. PArental discretion is advised.
