Wouldn't that fuck up replays entirely, and make them pointless? People can just redo things until they have the perfect replay, and send them in to sites, for tryouts and stuff. Then it's not a far showing of how good sum1 actually is.

Thx for link Meiapaul, it really looks amazing, but like C1 says, this feature makes replays looks fake, cheaty. Now everyone can make the perfect replay, and the real ones won't be rare anymore, that's a pity.

you, my friend are what is known as ignorant.

The creator of the patch is employed by Team17 to create these patches, and the reason it's not released yet is because he wants to make sure no-one can cheat using it.

Where did i gleam these vital snippets of information, why from these very BTP forums themselves - the same ones you read...

Actually, the whole idea of not releasing the patches with these extra features is this: Deadcode is trying to find someway to mark a replay so that you know it's been done in single-step/multiple undo mode.

Edit: Just noticed that ReadMe posted the same thing. Ah well, these things happen when you don't go to the last page before posting :/.

I don't know why but I had the assumption that the "single-step/multiple undo" was on the newest patch already, not batty ropes.

single step is only in the instant replays. There is going to be a feature which you can undo your go. For example, you are roping, it will show the path of where you will travel, if you hit a wall and fall, you can take it back. Or something like that anyway. Seems like a cheat to me though

Well, think about how useful that could be to making replay tutorials...
And regarding single-step, you WILL be able to do it during a game:

It has nothing to do with silkworm or hacking the exe. I have a version of W:A that allows me to play the game in slow motion or single step, like you can do when playing back replays. It also has the ability to undo if you mess up (you play back the game from the start and hit a key to take over at the point you want to change), and it draws in lines to show you in advance exactly where the rope and worm will go.
