But what if there's no cover anywhere.
thats why its a stratagy game, you will have to find somewhere to hide, dig down in to the map, then blowtourch to under your enemy, or put a girder above you to cover yourself, or something like that...
What if you don't have any blowtorches/drills/girders. Furthermore, what if there aren't any in the scheme at all. Plus, girders wouldn't help much (it'd absorb one hit and then boom! You're dead). And I still rest my case on the homing cluster.

weapons, generally... I'm sure it's a perfectly valid scheme that someone has probably used.

Skip go and surrender undoubtably. As well as anything else that the host seems fit in including.

If there's no cover anywhere, no blowtorches/drills or girders, then ANY weapon could hit the worm. And how about the Armageddon in WA/WWP? That's more powerful than the homing airstrike in W2.

the homeing air strike+cluster bomb is cheap because it deals blinding damage with just a click of your mouse, hardly skillfull, same with scales of justive, although, you can't win useing that.
another trick i found out was the the cluster bomb, place it above your enemies's wormie head and run away, all the clusters will hit directly on the worm's head, dealing 100 damage.
that's how much damage a homeing cluster bomb can make.
and about having to take cover. Are you saying that you have to darkside??
or are you a bright sider?(one who chooses to light/dark side at that perticular moment)

Yes, but now we're talking about probability. You see, there is a bit under a 100% chance that every explosive from a homing cluster or homing strike will hit. With a regular weapon, it's much different. For sake of argument, we'll look at the cluster bomb and air strike.
Now then, the cluster bomb fans upward when it explodes. All of the clusters NEVER fly straight up and fall straight back down. It's always at an arc (albeit a small arc at times). Is it possible for all explosives to hit one worm? Yes and no. No in our case of having an open air area. Yes in the case that there WOULD be cover right above the worms head, and indy terrain is turned on.
Moving on the the airstrike. 5 bombs dropped at an angle, not affected by wind. It is statistically IMPOSSIBLE for all of them to hit one worm. You may get two, possibly even three if you are incredably lucky, but never all 5. That would be the damage in the case of there being no cover. If there is some cover above the worm, you are almost guaranteed to miss with all of them.
So as can be seen, the homing strike and homing cluster can be considered 'cheap'. But what's that you say, what about other weapons? Well, that is much more eratic. Any weapon like bazookas, grenades, shotguns, and any other aiming weapons have probability skews determined upon the skill of the user. Armageddon is pure chance, not a sure fire way to kill a worm.
