Ok, I turned on my cpu and wanted to get online but MSN said that its servers were down and i couldnt log on, but i could be connected to the internet. I checked the connection, and it disconnected, after that i checked internet explorer ( please dont suggest any other browsers to me PLZ!) and it immediatly exited out after the window pops up. MSN exiting happens every once in a while, however it has never disconnected like that. After a few hours and the servers were up, i connected and it stayed connected. But regular internet explorer dont work and i have to use stupid msn explorer.

adwares?
its called ad-aware, and that is a program like spy bot which removes the spy ware
and if you can't connect to msn because the servers are down, use http://www.e-messenger.net

how are the right protected?
try right clicking and unchanging the "read only" box...
Thats the only way i think they could be write protected.
What kind of adware is it?

Well, even with programs, there are some adwares and spywares that are impossible to get rid of without re-installing. A friend from school had one. His dad (he built the computer and maintains it), tried every method of purging to get rid of it, but it still wouldn't go. So they formatted and reinstalled. Pray you don't have one of these SKATE.

i hope i dont, i tried ad-aware to delete it but it wont delete, right now, ill just live with it cuz i dont want to reinstall XP
::EDIT::
Yes, i finally did it, the ad-aware wouldnt delete them because they were backup adwares, so i went into Norton manually and deleted them. Yah00!

what you'd need to do is clear them fomr the windows\currentversion\run registry key so they aren't loaded at startup sine you cant delete a program while it's running.
