well it's not about size, and australia is pretty big anyway

Australia:
land area: 7,617,930 sq km
population: 19,731,984
density: 2.6 Sq Km / person

Canada:
Land area: 9,093,507 sq km
Population: 32,207,113
Density: 3.54 Sq Km / person

that's what I made of those figures anyway. heh.

You mixed land area by population or sumthing because land area should be bigger than population.

oops I did those calculations the wrong way round...

Aus density
0.39 sq km / person
Canada density:
0.29 sq km / person

Uk pop density comes out at about 4metres per person, so I might be wrong. heh.

No, but for Canada we have more land than people.

And Zogger, according to: This Site...
Canada's population of 31 million, divided by the land area of 3,559,294 square miles (mi2) yields a density of 8.7 people/mi2 (or by using 9,220,970 km2 yields a density of 3.4 people/km2). While this number would seem to indicate that 8.7 people live on each square mile of Canadian land area, the density within the country varies dramatically - a vast majority lives in the southern part of the country. Density is only a raw gauge to measure a population's disbursement across the land.

Try doing population density for a country like Monaco:P... Small countries tend to have very high population densities.

All I can say is, it would be quite funny if everyone stayed an equidistand distance apart, so there actually were only 8.7 people per square mile.
