When I click "Edit" on one of my files it doesn't let me change the files, only the text. I knew CBWhiz was supposed to finish this but the "target for today" changed from "Bug CBWhiz until he finishes the file edit script" to something else. So... What's wrong?

If u need to change the file, u delete it. Because if u could change the file to anything you want, then you can change a highly downloaded file to a crappy one, just to get people to download it. And that would be false advertising.

Yeah but you could still do that if you uploaded the image. Just rename it to what you want.

Duke is it that much effort to just upload it again?

To keep uploading something isn't a problem, but doing that will keep putting ur file at the top that would kind of get on ppls nerves.

How does that get on people's nerves? I don't think anyone really cares.

I'm not going to delete a file and put it back up again just so I can change its name. It's a waste of time and downloads for the file would restart.

And it does get annoying because then people can't see the files you have uploaded on Most Recent. Remember when you uploaded those 80+ RR maps? That got on my nerves because you whacked my file off the bottom just so you could have uploaded more files than Bloopy.

You don't have to, star worms, it's only changing the actual file itself that is not possible. It needs CBwhiz, really :P

Well, for the actual file, it should need reuploading because, what if you change the file to something terrible or something totally different. But the name of it u can change right now. And as for uploading all those files, I just uploaded them because he was one of my favourite map makers. If i knew people would have gotten so riled up about it i probably wouldnt have uploaded those.

I do. That actually shows on the list for how good a map is. I'd choose a map that's been downloaded 30 times over a map that hasn't . Plus when a recently submited map comes up, it leaves the list after sum1 new submits sumthing.

if a DL goes to like at least the second page the download rate is going to drop greatly..

That is of course assuming that the download rate was great to begin with. I havn't checked the download pages since, well, about a month after they came back up. I probably should, but I feel that I have a nice arsenal of custom files already, and I can always extract maps from the replays ;).

Well either way, the filesubmiter and downloader is great how it is. Don't change anything on it. Go work on rusk or sumthing...
