This is so frustrating. I've been asking absolutely everybody why I'm not able to host, and nobody has an answer for me. I used to be able to host both on WWP and W:A, and now i can't do anything. I try to host a game and nobody ever joins, even if i've waited for hours. I've checked my ip adress, I don't have a router, I don't have any firewalls. Nothing i try seems to work. I need help immediately! Some computer genius must gie me their aim screen name so i can talk to them.

The only things I can think of to remedy it are:
1) Try a uninstall/reinstall.
2) People just don't want to join your game O_o.

What OS are you on? If it's not win XP or 200 then if you have internet connection sharing it won't work... but you probably don't...

You have to open your ports. Go on T17 website to find out what they are.

er... if he doesn't have a firewall then he doesn't need to open ports.

go to the team17 forum and search for, say, "[game name] ports"

If what you mean by that is a split dsl line, then it does work, because I tried it at my friends house.

Nope, I don't mean a split DSL line, I mean a connection that goes into one computer, then gets shared to all the other computers when that main computer is on with ICS enabled.

haveing a router removes the ability 2 host, although, white duck some how managed 2 get around this....

Just simply typing "Proper" or "Shopper" is the best way to get people in ur host. I always did that when I thought my hosts wouldn't work.
