Actually, I don't believe any original ideas have been submitted since page 1, a good idea would be to look at them as a whole, see which would work best, and make an action on it. Not agree for 3 more pages.

does no-one understand the concept of a forum around here or what?
I've been a member of countless forums and this is simply the only one where people ask for threads that are no longer relevant to be locked and who keep huge threads with about 5 topics on them (images thread in art forum)
There is of course the other extreme where there was this oen forum that has over 50 new threads a day and most of them were related (online game forum)
The purpose of a forum is for discussion, and peronsally i like to keep it pretty much open to anyone.
A 'Bulletin Board', as a forum should really be called contains a number of 'forums' each of these is specific to a general subject area, so for istance a web help forum could have an HTML forum, and a PHP forum.
Within these forums are found 'threads' or 'topics' each one of these relates to a specific topic within the more general heading of the forum, eg using our previous example of the web help forum, threads in the HTML forum could include such titles as "no right click code" or "CSS rendering bug in IE?"
Each thread contains a number of posts, the first one establishes the point of the topic, the others are replies. Looking back at our previous example of the 'no right click code' thread the first post could bea requst for the best method, and the next 3 would most likely be people flaming the poster about the freedom of information on the web, the next post would probably be a link to one of those pages which explains the futility of such a script, then a discussion about the applications of a script such as this would begin. This would probably develop into some form of arguement over what you can actually claim copyright to on your website.
Note you have noticed th thread has now gone off topic, we started on no right-click and now we're talking about copright.
So do we lock the thread? nope, we let it continue until the disussion fizzles out and the thread gets pushed off the top page.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how a BB works

Yeah I noticed that too. Some forums lock threads days after inactivity.

Or, they could lock a thread AFTER someone does that. And give him tax.

I lock threads after people bump old threads. Tho I get yelled at if i lock a thread before it gets bumped.
