Pope, when you enter "vivator.com", that isn't what you client uses to connect to the server. Your computer sends "vivator.com" to your DNS (Domain Name Server). Your DNS replies to the request and gives you the IP address you need to connect to the server. When the IP changed, the IP the domain name (vivator.com) points to did not. So then we have to enter an IP to get to where we want.
