lol. I was just at google when I accidentally did an image search for blamethepixel.com
when I found there were a few images there, I decided to search for blamethepixel

then I clicked to include all results - and it seems that they have a cache of well.. every sig on btp. There's 33 pages of BTP in images...

meh, it's actually just a scaled down version, shame they don't get the whole thing - so many websites disappear and leave you imageless when you search for images.




if you wanted to completely bring down all bots, you could create a virus to put a robots.txt up on every single website, blocking all bots. lol.
Then they'd probably just change the filename, to something like.. robots2.txt, and use that instead...

Well, I have my artwork backed up on my computer, a floppy disk, and here. Can you give me a good reason to have it backed up somewhere else? Besides, maybe I don't want the artwork available to anyone unless they visit this specific site...

But Google isn't doing anything illegal, AFAIK.

It's not that it's illegal, it's the fact that they are archiving all this stuff without permission from the author(s). Alot of people (including me), wouldn't complain, but some would. Imagine how you would feel if art that you wanted no one else to see except a few chosen people, was suddenly pulled out from under you and posted for all to see. Would you not be angry? Same thing here, Google is archiving all this stuff, but the bot can't possibly know if the author wishes that.

oh but it can - As I said before, it's called robots.txt, if you don't want them to index, use it
