Well, you have to remember, you have to make it unobvious to spammers, so it isn't abused by them. That's why I proposed the :force: and :force2: tags for them (somewhat similar to the lol tag). That way, they won't have a clue as to how to get those big exclamations marks.

But if they learn how to do it, there would again be a problem. Why don't we just remove them completely?

Or u have to have to be rated at least once to be able to use them. So if u have a lower rating then 10 u can't use it. But all ur ideas are good just make sure it's hard for n00bs to find out how to use it.

Actually, you can't really do that, because some of our regular users still fall below the 10 mark, and I have a feeling that all hell would break loose if they fell below it after posting a large exclamation mark. So how about this, make it so you have to post a certain number of times (50 aught to do it), before you can use them. And before you say 'well, what if someone spams a thread 50 times), odds are it will be caught by a mod or admin by then, because of the time it takes for a post to go through, and the 15 minute delay between posts on the same thread.

I guess tho. Sounds good. Tho spam could still happen if people find out u could do that once u get that many posts.

But it's still a good idea. And as Glenn said, is someone spams 50 times, they will get banned or deleted.

it's now an option in your profile whether to see big exclamation marks or not, best way IMO.
