Personally,

Coding: SEdit (not publically available - it's a text editor with project managing and syntax hilighting abilities created by my brother) to write the PHP, PHPMyAdmin / MySQLfront (locally) for MySQL database administration.

For Local testing I use(d) EasyPHP (http://www.easyphp.org)

Designs: I used Photoshop 6.0 for the images, and stuck them together with a text editor (ie sedit).

I'm going to make a new site for Softbrain soon, so I wonder: Is there any way of getting SEdit? Or maybe there are other syntax highlighting PHP editors out there... Well, there must be.

there are other editors available, it would be difficult to give you this program, it's a bit buggy anyway.

Anyawy... I don't see why pc specs matter, but my comp is an Athlon XP 2000+, 70GB hard disk (I think, might be 80, I don't know how big the linux partition is) er... 1 MSI CD drive, 1 something or other DVD drive, nice 17" Acer LCD monitor, an annoying microsoft "office keybaord", some old yamaha speakers. Some microsoft optical mouse, a not very good "jam studio" graphics tablet,. and oh.. a floppy drive. lol.

a lot of that wasn't used in the making tho. I didn't use any of the drives, or the speakers. Might have used the graphics table once or twice.

dunno if you want my input but i'll give it anyway on the basis that too much info can be pruned.

Use ultraEdit (http://www.ultraedit.com) for minor fixes and PHPedit for proper dev stuff.

Same as Zog for the other stuff, cept he didn't mention the FTP client we both use iirc - WS_FTP (http://www.ipswitch.com)

And where Zog uses EasyPHP, i use PHPdev (www.firepages.com.au)

used fireworks for my design but also used PSP 8 a bit as well.

i used to use phpedit, but it has some minor bugs (which i dont recall at all)

i now use macromedia dreamweaver for pretty much everything, it is a ftp client so thats nice

hmm, actually I think I started BTP with notepad & PHPDev, And I used to use WS_FTP but I tend to use Filezilla now.

Notepad, mm, I love it. That's my favourite program in Windows.

I use notepad and WS_FTP like zogger does.
