Two words: Tabed pages. No more multiple windows, now you can have all those websites open in one single window! YAY! And there's some other things: pop-up blockers, it's own d/l manager, etc.

(I don't mind questions, just not stupid ones =/ )

It also has plugins, for many different things, and it loads each part of the site in pieces. So I can start reading the posts on the forum even before the whole page loads.

I've had firefox for sometime now and i really like the pop up blocker and tabbed browsing... But i've been wanting to know what these mouse gesture things are... could someone explain?

Also for FTP i use FileZilla or Flash FXP.

Yeah, the main things I can't stand about IE are:
1) The pages aren't tabbed so you can have 8+ windows open at a time and since you can't read them you forget to check them.
2) It crashes all the time along with any folders you have open
3) It displays some images wrongly
4) Images run FAR FAR slower than on other browsers. For example watch my lightsaber battle in IE and then in Opera. You will notice a clear difference.

I like Opera more than Firefox and Mozilla, so I'll stick with it.

Also, ZoGgEr, how did you do that semi transparent firefox image in your sig?

Nope, it's free. However on the free version you do have an ad, but the ad is out of the way and I don't even notice it, so the ad doesn't bother me at all.

It should happen both ways since both have Internet Explorer in them:?

folders are part of the explorer.exe process and so is internet explorer (hence the name), so they do go down, yes.

Solution: Get Mozilla.

Just opened up an image from the firefox site in photoshop, cut it out (not very well, but it doesn't really matter with the semi-transparency), then reduced the opacity of the layer to... something lower... Saved it as a Png-24. Spaz's sig is semi-transparent, and r_e's was, at least, not sure if it still is.

And shade - mouse gestures. You hold down, say, the right mouse button and move the mouse down and right, and it closes the window. Just down and it will open a new window. Up then down again and it reloads. Hold the right mouse button then click the left and it will go Back, and vice versa. It's all pretty useful, and it's annoying when I start using IE and find that I can't use them. heh, even though I keep trying to.

If you really want to crash IE, open about 20 windows. And then have all of them start loading something at the same time. On my 56k connection, with 128 Megs of RAM, this will DEFINATELY crash IE.
