In PNG8, transparency works just like GIF. You tell your image program which colour to make transparent. In PNG24, it's a lot more complicated.

Basically just make you image as you normally would in you image editor, then when it comes to svaing, use the export as PNG option. If you want better support use index transparency, if you want better quality, use alpha transparency.

.gif would be good. THe rest of those would be poor quality probably. But i'd suggest getting better at making images before you make a house.

BTW, for future reference, don't ask again if you can post BMPs. They are WAY too big for it to be worth using. Always convert to either GIF or JPEG before finishing the image. Preferably, save it as one right when you start the image, that way there won't be any surprises at the end...

No not jpeg. They come out distorted. Always use gif or png.

Like I said, always save it as such before starting work on it, that way it WON'T end up distorted. It does this, because the color depth of JPEG is less than 24-bit color. So saving beforehand is the only way around it.

256 colour PNGs are small like gifs, no problem using them for the houses in PixVille
