Each soundbank goes in a seperate folder inside your \User\Speech\ folder. For example the .wav files for an austin powers soundbank go inside \User\Speech\Austin Powers\
the name of the folder that you make for each soundbank must be the same as the name that other people use for that folder on their hard drive, otherwise worms won't know that both people have the soundbank, and you won't hear it when playing online

You have to go into the game's team editor, click the soundbank button, and scroll ALL THE WAY DOWN, using the arrow button that will appear. The list will stop just short of custom ones if you use the scroll bar (unless you have more than 10)

Alright, I decided that reviving this thread is better than posting another on basically the same topic.
Okay, here's the problem. I'm creating a soundbank, and to do so, I'm converting down MP3 files. I take the MP3's down to 24 kbps, then convert them to WAV files. Now, this is all fine and good in the Soundbank editor. But now, when I try using it in the game, it uses the default soundbank! And when I went into the team editor to check on it, it wouldn't play any sounds from the bank.
If you want to know, here are the specs for the files:
Audio format: PCM
Average data: 22.50 kb/sec
Sample rate : 11.25 kHz
Audio sample: 16 bit
Channels : 1 (mono)
I know that the Average data can go up to 64kb/sec, and the sample rate can be up to 32kb/sec, because that's the stats for my W3D SuperHero soundbank, which works perfectly fine with W:A. So... what did I do wrong here..?

well all the premade soundbanks (and all that i checked) have these specs
325 kbps
16 bit
mono
22 kHz
PCM
I imagine you can just convert them all to that format and it should work.
edit: that was WA. didnt know which game you were talking about. Here's W3D (speech):
512 kbps
16 bit
mono
32 kHz
PCM

Well, the whole thing is, I have another soundbank that I downloaded with the exact same file stats, but it works perfectly fine.
Well, when I have more time, I'll try re-converting them to those stats, but I don't know if it will work...
Oh yeah, I was talking about W:A. Ya see, I copied the Super Hero soundbank from the W3D demo to W:A. And it works perfectly fine... so...

Uh... how the HELL can you make a soundbank out of Sonic and Mario. Just curious, since they never talk. Well, that is, unless you're using the anime... That would be interesting...

Here there be dragons...
Well, I figured out what I had done wrong. Turns out, I needed to lower the channel from 16-bit to 8-bit. Incidentally, this also solves my size problem, as halving the channel halves the size as well (it's dropped from 7 MB to 3.5 ). I'm just going to scrap it and re-work the whole thing, and hope to submit it sometime tonight. I hope that it gets posted. Wish me luck! .
