i got a computer toolkit that we already had so i took it back to radioshack and for fourty two dollars and some odd cents (001101000011001000110000).

i think my net enarings were bout £250 cause i did not have a main presant so that brings my total net worth to £400.

yes i'm a rich bugger.

I don't think there's such a thing. Unless people con you into buying them lots of presents and don't get you anything... anyway, he added the "lots of money" in there.

Personally I spent about £40 on Chrissy Pressies, and recieved...

4 games, That Dave Gorman Googlewhacking book, some Milk Tray (token confectionary), a jumper, some stuff I've forgotten, and (lol) some Lego (mindstorms, which is actually programmable, so er... ner)

I like lego, painful if you step on it though.

Mindstorm is fantastic!

They ran a competition at a nearby University with the kits and a team of 5 had to build a remote controlled car thing to do 3 tasks: In and out of cones back and forth once, pick up an aluminium can and then another was with hilly surface and inside craters were balls which had to be picked up.

Our thing looked like a giant, plastic scarab beetle lol. Pincers at the front and a small set at the back with a few magnets here and there.

Quite fun, considering all the remotes are on the same wavelength, if you wanted to sabotage someone's efforts all you had to do was turn the remote ona dn ppoint it in the direction of the opposition's machine.

when i was little i built a 1 metre high building made of lego. It was 12 stories, complete with a bathroom and a kitchen and a resturant.

like what pope said, there are many universities which actually use lego mindstorms in their computer science / robotics courses. They recommended it at both the East Anglia and Kent university open days - the only one's I've been to so far...
