Ok, I work at a grocery, and from there, all day, you get to watch poeple...

I tought about 2 things at work today

this one is not really a theory, but I felt the need to point it out...
when poeple desribe UFOs moving around in the night sky... their discription of movment is much similar to the way a "DragonFly" flys around. I only say this becuase I was observing a Dragonfly today and I'm partially a UFO buff.

My Other observation is this, and its a doozy!
I notice something at work today, whenever I saw parents or monther walking around with their children and the parents walked SLOWLY... the kids where fat. But! whenever I saw Parents/Mothers who walked FAST, their kids where Skinny. Is it possible that the kids with their fast walking parents, are skinny becuase they are smaller, thus shorter legs, and are only trying to keep up with their parents... thus, its more of a workout for them...

Ignoring all genetics and over eatting, what do you think?

mind you:
It is said that each year, americans walk less and less each year. (same goes for any other well developed country as well)

Comments, Questions or your own zanny theorys... hAVE aT iT!

The parents probably walked slower, because they were fat. And they were fat because they ate Mcdonalds everyday, like all fat lumps of crap. And therefore their kids would do the same and become the same.

I don't know much about dragonflies but my guess is that they use their wings to displace the air around them, thereby moving around like they do. UFOs such as the one that crashed near Roswell work very similar, instead of displacing air they displace gravity, and instead of wings they somehow use electricity/electric fields.

LOL nice observation! The ones who walk slowly are most likely unfit, whether they are fat or not.

I suppose that's one "good" thing about my degree (aero engineering), there aren't too many terms/words/etc that have "alternative" meanings.
What, like cockpits, turboshafts, thrust, nozzles, corkscrews, ram drag, payload, flaps, and wind tunnels?

the thing is, half the time it was the parents who where skinny and the kids who where fat, so thus by the means of genetics, I can rule out only HALF of your claim C1

also, quick joke:

Why is Diarrhea genetic?
Becuase its in your "Jeans"

I'm not sure, but I hear it is magnetic feilds, but I suppose they fall into the same catagory. I know nothing about Physics, I was too busy taking Biology.

^_^ !

An electric field has a magnetic component to it, so yeah same sort of thing.

the actual answer to that joke is because it runs in the jeans... now let's never speak of it again ;).

Electric fields exert a force on a charge within them, whereas magnetic fields exert a force on a magnetic body within them. They both come under electromagnetic fields tho... I've just done a physics a-level but I can't remember half of it now. lol.

Whatever, I don't think the way dragonflies fly has anything to do with fields:

still, the dragon flys flight pattern resembles the flight pattern of most UFOs.....

what do you make of it?

most extreame case scenario is that, dragonflys are are an advanced race that CAME from earth to begin with..... and have studyed the patterns of flight for centuries.

If im not mistaken, dragonflys has existed for an uncountable amount of years...

Oh yeah I was confusing electric fields with electromagnetic fields. It makes sense that a Dragon Fly would push air down to go up, so maybe a UFO pushes gravity left to go right? :)

I can only remember seeing dragonflies once... in a place called Urewera National Park. If I see dragonflies again I'll hold my hand under them to see if there is a whirlwind.

If you can catch the buggers...

around here, they are quick little punks, unless you got a 2 foot long fly swatter, you wont be able to get them, they are just too quick.

for their relative size, they are quick... same with UFOs.... I just cannot get over how their flight patterns are quite similar...

I´m pretty sure that electromotive force is based on the fact that current generates a magnetic field, no more time left now so i g2g

wtf? I didn't know things could fly!

Seriously, I didn't know there was a difference between fat and thin people being able to float better. Isn't how much air you have in you that makes you float?

yeah it's how dense you are. A stick isn't very dence therefore floats. Gold bar is dence therefore sinks. Air isn't dence is it?

It really depends on how dense fat is. I suggest having a bacon sandwich, ripping off the fat and dunking it in the sink, full of water and see if it floats or sinks!:P
