Thanksgiving is this week! Not sure if it's US-only, because although we claim we invented it, there might be other countries...

Anyway, I'm going to Pennsylvania to see my relatives this Thanksgiving. I've got Thursday and Friday off from school, and the other three days were early closings!
So, I'll be gone until Saturday.

Where are the rest of you going, if you celebrate Thanksgiving Day? Anyone else have a long weekend?

As for school schedules, I have early closing Wednesday, I have Thursday and Friday off, and Monday the following week off. Then I have to wait till Christmas >:E But when that day comes... I'm gonna be a happy little bugger.

It's so to have a day to be thankful for what you have. And if you have a dinner the size of the thanksgiving dinner every sunday, you'd be dead.

Because only about 12% of the population in the UK is religious. Compare this to the USA which is around 75% Which is actually quite unusual for a developed country, it tends to be African countries which have such high religious populations.

In UK: What's the point in thanking god for stuff when most people don't believe in god.

The US is basically redneck, gun loving, religious folk. :P They also like to fight other countries. They also have lots of crime. Or at least that's what a lot of TV protrays you guys as.

Never make assumptions based on the tube :/ It really all depends on where you are. Although rednecks are really spreading here. In our school, one of my mates keeps saying "GET IR DONE!" and it REALLY grates on my nerves.
