Well, unlike any of Microsofts Flight Simultor games, it features online-multiplayer which is pretty fun.. If you have people to play it with.

Other than that, yes it pretty much is just free flight with about 30 or so missions which train you in different fields of aircraft. After those are up, people will probably start with mods which ad more missions.

Also, what I stumbled upon the other day is, that you can play online-missions/competitions with other people too. Though usually everone hosts Free Flight.
online? what does one do online in that sort of game?

Pretty much fly around... do "Adventures". But noone ever hosts anything othere than Free Flight.

I've never actually tried it, cuz its not every 2 seconds that you see a plane.. I mean, theres a whole world to fly on.
