And remind some people that that picture is nsfw

Edit: duct tape wallet. Made by me:

It includes a see-through window thingy for your ID or a monthly pass of some kind. Oh, and a coin purse. Of course, the wallet isn't made of pure duct tape, I did use those ziplock bag zipper thingies to make the coin purse and for the clear thing, I cut of the clear pouch thing from my school ID from last year.

that's pretty well done. I used to have one of the Duct Tape wallets that you can buy from Ducti (till I left it in a taxi :s) [I got mine for free ;)]. It's not far off the quality of the Ducti ones.

I've never told anyone, but I have a laboratory under my room. I make some genetical experiments there...

The beams seem to flat and looks like the technqiue in of the most common photoshop tutorials. I could point to 3 other active forum users who have tried it out, if it were not for the fact the Sigworms and Nameplates pages had been removed.

Still, the outer glow on the samurai worm brings it together.

Seeing as how hardly anyone ever looks at the maps, or even plays worms anymore, I've decided to advertise my new tribute shopper here because technically it is an image.

Oh yay, I love it when people assume statements like that can apply to everything and thus be discredited. Sadly, that's not quite how things work.

But I do agree the beams look too flat.

For someone who evidently loves using sarcasm, you weren't able to spot it in that reply but using the argument 'it's the best because it's popular' is silly and if you look at the tutorial, it's not that handy.

If you really want to delve deeper into my statement, which appears you do, then we could also say the absurdity of linking graphics and a deadly virus serves to illustrate my point it's silly to think like that. And why all of a sudden take my post seriously when I see you're happy to go offtopic and joke elsewhere.

Now, a tutorial teaching you the basics on using the 'Pen' tool (aka Bezier) is much more useful than a restrictive pattern as that.

Is ickle wickle weevil happy now?

How would what I said make sense if I didn't notice the sarcasm? And how could I not notice it? Give me a little credit.:P And the argument isn't 'it's best because it's popular' it's 'it's popular because it's the best' which if you look at Peltzi's post properly, you'll see that's what was meant. And I believe that argument most certainly holds weight in many contexts. Not that I'm saying it particularly does in this case, but I think it's a mistake to completely shoot it down.

Also, while I do love sarcasm, (duh) my comment was not as sarcastic as you'd like to think. Because it does ammuse me when people make such blatently silly assumptions.

And the reason I took your post more seriously than most is because it would appear that you were taking it more seriously. That's certainly how it came off anyway, partly based on other posts you've made. And you're going much heavier and acidic on me than my little post was on you. Speaking of which, time for a joke;

"Why did the chicken cross the road?"
"Because it had nothing better to do!"

Hahahaha...

Oh yes, and Ickle Wickle Weevil is very happy thank you.

I know that and the point I was making with the HIV remark was that because something is popular does not mean it's the "best", it may just mean it's simple to do.

Given the choice, would you prefer to learn how to use the Pen tool or how to produce the lightning effect? The 'best' choice would be the Pen tutorial.

Take the statement to a different situation, say, America's current president. He may've been the most popular at the time of voting but he's by no means amazing. That's what irritated me about that statement.

Bringing it back into context, I'd rather someone learn how to use the pen tool, so they can produce more interesting and unique images. You could create a lovely bolt of lightning that would be your own creation.

Oh yay, I love it when people assume statements like that can apply to everything and thus be discredited. Sadly, that's not quite how things work.

I'd say that beginning is hugely sarcastic and then you tell me how things don't work like that. Surely the statement "It must be the most common, because it's the best." without any context or reference includes everything it could possibly apply to? Why should my HIV example be any less valid because it's not directly related. If you want any further examples beyond the president one and believe it's the only exception, I'd be happy to point out some more.

And don't worry, Peltzi, I'm just pissed off at EvilWeevil for digging into me when I'm trying to make an honest point.

Abd, I constructed a duct tape wallet as well. I was inspired by the one you made, and I thought that I would actually put time into the new one. In case you didn't know, I made one before out of yugioh cards and duct tape and it turned out pretty good. I'll post pics when I get home from schizzool.

Also, before any of you call me a copy cat, I'd like to point out that I've had tape wallets in the past that got fucked up and or sank to the bottom of a lake :?

Spleet, would you like to post that in the week 21 thread? (Oh, and make the week 21 thread :D)

It's great to know that I'm inspiring. I wanted to make a wallet out of playing cards and packing tape, but I don't have either. But when I do, it'll be awesome. D:
