Compulsery education was tedious, boring, and generally not much of a challenge. A levels are completly different and at the moment I am quite enjoying the challenge of it all. We now have a common room to ourselves (us being the sixth formers) and the littleuns look up at us in awe:)

Its mostly down to the fact that I could now choose all the subjects that I want to take, instead of having most of them forced upon me.

I was gonna say something really interesting but I have totally forgotten it...

Well, by the looks of the poll, people don't like school as it is.
They might come to BTP to get away from school, and then you go and bring up school here.

But we also get to tell our opinion on it and tell that we hate it. It feels good for me to say, "Wow, I fucking hate school." Anyway, as for the computer learning part of it. The only computer classes I ended up getting... GETTING, not picking. Was "computer applications" in 8th grade which taught us how to keyboard and use programs I already knew how to use 3 years before. And in high school I got to pick a photoshop class which is super fun.

I am also extremely unlucky in school, where I get two cooking classes in one semester, the eating part was good, but doing two cooking things at once wasn't. Oh, and I was randomly given "Interior Decorating" because I was too new in the district to pick my high school classes. No matter how hard I try I can never have a positive attitude in school. The two things I just told you happened last year so it's a tad old. I think the true reason I hate school is that I have to deal with people I want dead everyday, because I am so pessimistic.

:lol:lmao, interior decorting... Yeah i can't wait till highschool when i get to choose my clases, and don't have to use computers with people who are computer brain dead. i remember grade 4 when using computers, "Now click file, then go down a bit and click Save as", so idiot-proof and some people still couldn't get it.

My photoshop class was fun, but it was stupid because the teacher gave everyone good grades for creating shit, so you really couldn't feel how good you were doing. We had a very VERY dumb teacher. I asked how to use layer gradient and she made me get out of my chair so she can sit down, and I was standing watching her for 30 minutes then the bell rang. The funny thing was, she didn't know what she was doing. And this, this is an example of my school luck.

And for the love of god, please change the dumb spelling error to the name of this thread.

The photoshop class i take has a dumb teacher too, he will try to help you but instead, he will come up with some stupid excuse to change the subject on what you need help on. For example,

Me: Hey, how do i make it look like there is a really long shadow?

Teacher: Hmmm, you know what you can do, you can add some really cool text effects, see like this one here. You dont want stroke on 3 thogh, thats to hi...

But came next my Sophomore year... And my luck grew even worse, 3 days after I was assigned my gym locker, the dumbass blonde gym teacher forgot to record which locker I had and gave that same locker to someone else, so whoever the second person was who had that locker put his clothes and threw mine on the ground just because of the gym teacher. If luck was a playground, I'd be leaning on the fence having wood chips thrown at me.

Heh, you guys were unlucky with your Photoshop teachers. My teacher was a Fireworks guy, but he knew what he was doing. He is a really tough when it comes to getting things marked, but I did a fantabulous job on my projects. I was going to post the Pepsi Box I made last year, but I lost it :(

Yar those shifty non-Australasians! Kill zem! Kill zem all!

On a different note, I've started hating school again, now that exams have started... Infact I should really be studying if I don't want to fail, not that it's possible at a public school...

My teacher uses Fireworks as well. She decided to get the whole Macromedia package this year because she wanted to switch from Front Page to Dreamweaver this year, so we also switched from Photoshop to Fireworks.

I love photoshop, in fact I like it more than fireworks. But we had to use another program for a while, it was Adobe Illustrator, that program fucking sucks.

I've had a few lessons in Fireworks at university. Also had a teacher for that course who was absolutely useless. She said one of her hobbies is browsing the web all the time, but in front of the whole lecture, IE was in full screen mode and she didn't know how to get out. She also was marking my practical assignment in front of me, and I had to keep correcting her mistakes... she opened the wrong files, put some marks for the wrong question, that sort of thing.
