I don't think you could make 14 trillion clones without killing yourself (that'd probably happen around a thousand), and having the clones clone themselves degrades the DNA stream. So you could never have 14 trillion clones of yourself, unless you want a bunch of brainless idiots that can't do anything but stand around and breath (and they only do that if they think real hard about it).

C1, you're missing the point. By the time that there are that many clones of you (and other clones) made, you will have already died. If you made one clone every second of every day, as in never stopping, it would take...

And that's assuming that no clones, including you, die during that time. Really, it's impossible to get that high, since the clones are going to be dying at the same rate as new ones are being created. Even if you had multiple machines the birth/death rate would be the same.

So can't you just be happy with, say, 100 clones?

I have to disagree there. What if you made several million machines in a hundred thousand machine making factories made by the majority of the population's builders and cloned yourself with these machines?

And as for corrupting the DNA, DNA does not corrupt like that, It can mutate giving different variations of yourself but not degrade so that you become mindless.

There's not enough money, materials, and manpower in the world to build and power that much stuff. Of course, it WOULD have the rather interesting effect of killing the entire population, but then, what use are war clones if everyone else is already dead?

You inslave everyone and make them built a statue of you....which you could have done with you clones in the first place..

I meant that that kind of mutation would give you different versions of yourself. Soon you would end up with a unique human being to you. It would not degrade and give mindless clones. That was my whole point!

And also, if you replicated yourself twice. Then replicated those two clones and yourself twice each and carried that on, how long would it take?
