Indeed it is. I first partook in talk like a pirate day last year. lol. It's also the day I go to University, not sure I'll be going round talking like a pirate there tho. lol.

I'm... moving in ;). "activities" start on the afternoon of the 20th, I'd rather be there the day before. Most people seem to be moving in on the 18th... I'm on holiday from the 11th-18th so that's not really an option. heh.
