yes pope, you're right that the things on the screen are smaller at a higher resolution, but what I meant was that the amount of screen space was smaller at lower resolutions, there's not enough for my needs.

And r_e, windows does support different resolutions for different users - least in WinME.

Never knew that. It doesn't in XP.

heh, it does it for alot of games, why not users too?

and on the unusual resolutions, on the last monitor we had, I had to use 1280 * 1025, because I er... broke... 1280*1024. It worked originally, then one day it got this crazy brown strip accross the top of the screen, so I added an extra 1280 pixels to the screen. :)

I use Internet Explorer and 1280x960

My sister prefers Netscape 7.1 so that's installed too, and I use the Mail part of Netscape.

I suppose that's one "good" thing about my degree (aero engineering), there aren't too many terms/words/etc that have "alternative" meanings.
What, like cockpits, turboshafts, thrust, nozzles, corkscrews, ram drag, payload, flaps, and wind tunnels?

What? Is it possible to change the resolution to whatever you like like that?:?

I used a program called PowerStrip

note: It depends on your monitor - I don't think my current monitor supports it, only my old one
