What do you mean by 'Google it'. Do you mean Google Toolbar? I should probably be getting that anyway, seeing as I've told about 5 others to get it.... Maybe that will solve my connection problems with WormNet.

i mean search google for it, google is actually a verb as well as a noun, meaning "to search for a term using google" search google for "always on top maker" shud turn it up.

well, I doubt google is a verb listed in the english dictionary, or even a noun for that matter, but you can turn many many nouns into verbs when you feel like it,

-I'm gonna go lamppost my car. Bye.
-I may have to table this
-The quick brown fox sofa'd the lazy dog

see - they all make perfect sense. ;)

Er, no they don't. But google IS a noun. It's definiton is 1 x 10^99. Which is:
100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
00000000000000000000000000000000000000000
Whoa! That's a lot of zeroes!

ur thinking of a googol which is actually 1x10100 Or a 1 with 100 zeroes after it.

Even bigger is a googleplex which is a one with a googol zeroes after it.
1x101x10100

Here's your definition from Dictionary.com (if you care).

google

World-Wide Web - The World-Wide Web search engine that
indexes the greatest number of web pages - over two billion by
December 2001 and provides a free service that searches this
index in less than a second.

The site's name is apparently derived from "googol", but
note the difference in spelling.

The "Google" spelling is also used in "The Hitchhikers Guide
to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams, in which one of Deep
Thought's designers asks, "And are you not," said Fook,
leaning anxiously foward, "a greater analyst than the
Googleplex Star Thinker in the Seventh Galaxy of Light and
Ingenuity which can calculate the trajectory of every single
dust particle throughout a five-week Dangrabad Beta sand
blizzard?"

Yeah... er, right....

or as I prefer to write, 1x10googol

There is in fact not a googolplex of anything in the universe - according to er.. scientist... people. We'll just have to take their word for that - but for more interesting facts about googolplexes, visit http://www.googol.com
which is a surprisingly interesting site.

edit: wait - http://www.fpx.de/fp/Fun/Googolplex/ which is linked from googol.com is more interesting.

How about a bit of quantum thinking then, does this mean that there must be a googleplex of things which do not add up to a goolgolplex?

you managed to spell the same word in two different ways and neither were right :P

Anyway, I'm talking about the real universe - not the crazy made up universe that physicists created to explain the unexplainable

note the sarcasm.

nope, there aren't that many of anything, not quarks, electrons, protons, air-molecules, hadrons, any random particle names that I can think of... (hell I don't even know what a hadron is, that's next weeks physics lesson [no, really, nuclear physics is still pretty boring tho]).

That's what they tell us. I mean, the number is so huge... So it's easy to believe.

note: the only reason I quoted you was to look at my nice new quote background. heh. Although it looks somewhat like wallpaper to a babies bedroom.

yes it does look like dody wallpapaer. Perhaps there are the 1x10^googol. mm in order to reach the furthest away star form our planet.

Interestingly enough i watched a program about how spce could be globe shaped. Mind you stuff like this fucks my brain up real good.

Actually, it would probably be closer to 1^10^google micro- (or maybe nano-?) meters to the farthest star.

was it about space in general? Or something to do with wormsholes? or perhaps timetravel?

and heh, when I said hadrons were next weeks lesson, it turned out we were covering them today. So I now know what a hadron is, and a pion, a kappa, a lepton etc...

If I look at my notes....

nope, still don't have a clue. Oh well, that's physics - in one eye and out the er... ear.

Here comes some immature humour.

Imagine spelling 'hadron' wrong in some coursework each time...
