I obviously voted yes, it makes perfect sense. Just make sure TheAbdBoy doesn't go over 1000 if he doesn't want to (not likely if you delete his thread :P).

I'd also like the slap the user thread deleted. It's getting annoying seeing Fuzzball's and psymon's post count going up 20 times a day.

I thought I'd do a query to work out how a few (not so) randomly selected users' post counts would change.... The count(*) is the actual number of posts, and posts is the number in the profile.

proportion is the proportion of posts that would be lost. interestingly enough, bloopy would gain posts... Beats me as to why, though.

Wtf? blooby gets posts??? I lose a lot though but i don't realy care, iv not gone down as much as i thought i would. Why does it say more posts than you have done though? Is it with taking away slap the user?

The list up there right now, is still counting the Slap The User thread. So you can expect your post count to drop in the neighborhood of 50-100 posts if that gets deleted as well.

No, it's because Bloopy is Ãœber cool (remember the umlaut people...). Seriously now, maybe there was some bug or other on BTP a long time ago (as in, when it first started), that wasn't counting posts for a while. Of course, what do I know, seeing as I wasn't here when BTP first started...
