The one I have at the moment isn't working properly (I'm using WS_FTP Pro) Can anyone recommend me a new FTP thing so I can continue uploading files, please. Preferably which doesn't have a 30 day trial limit etc. But if there's no choice then one which I can easily bypass by changing the date on my clock:twisted::)

A server with FTP access or a program to make uploading to an FTP server easier?

If it's the first one go with tripod.co.uk lol

If it's the second one, just use the built in XP one. If you don't have XP, then I've no idea.

Sorry, I should've been clearer, I meant one that is on your computer and does the uploading...not the server you upload it to.

I too have been having problems with WS_FTP (LE) lately, so I've kind of changed to filezilla at http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/

It's free :)

When I click the icon, nothing happens, it doesn't load up:|

Also before anyone suggests I tried CuteFTP and SmartFTP. CuteFTP came up with an error and the SmartFTP download was buggy. :roll:

WS_FTP LE works fine for me, and I'd probably use Cute FTP only if I wanted to have resume when I download big files. But since neither of those work for you, you might as well keep trying different clients: Bulletproof FTP etc... (which I've never tried).

So far I've managed with MS Internet Explorer's built in FTP client. If I have to use something else sometime I might change, but I see no reason to install another program if this works.

re: ewwwwww :D

i use smartftp, but only cause its the only not too annoying one ive found.

although it has been having trouble finding out whats on btp's public_html dir, but it can upload to there fine

Ah thatnks, that works, the other link I downloaded from didn't. Can you tell me how to upload a file please. it's really baffling me because when i go into Commands > Upload and then any of the 3 and click select file the browse thing doesn't come up. Can you tell me how to do it:)

Yes mine works fine for me too. The only time i had trouble was that it didnt save my previous folders when it crashed. (it crashed because i kept pressing cancel download and tried to exit)

drag any file from anywhere to the remote view window for an immediate upload

Actually now ws_ftp is starting act badly. It wouldnt let me drag a file over yesterday.
