PLZ help me,.......... my cd-rom won't open..........it just makes the noise like it is gonna but doesn't :( :( :(
help will be greatly appreciated :)

try right click on the cd player in "My Computer" and click Eject, dunno fi that helps

Most CD drives have a small emergency release hole. Find it, and try taking a small screwdriver to it. I accept no responsibility if you break it.

Not a clear picture, but this is mine:

I just got a 1.4mm screwdriver, pushed it right in, and the drive opened.

edit - I finally got round to ripping that sticker off.

the best thing to open it with is a paperclip most ppl dont carry a tool set with them u c with dif size screw drivers so get a paper clip bend it straight and bung it in da hole and it should open i did it on mine earlyer coz mines screwed aswell. hope it helps ;)

ya i used a paperclip on my old one because the burner drive always wouldnt open. Mind you my new one cant because it's got a cover over it..so i cant add or remove drives :P
